Jelly Roll's Story
ADOPT JELLY ROLL: SECURITY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Jelly Roll is an estimated 6-year-old orange gentleman who currently has no neck, but remains deeply committed to someday having one.

At first glance, Jelly Roll looks like he should be standing outside a nightclub with his arms crossed asking to see your ID. In reality, he’s a giant softie who loves rubbing against your legs, greeting guests, playing with toys and, for reasons we cannot explain, stinky socks. The stinkier the better.

He also spends a considerable amount of time sitting pensively in HIS chair, presumably contemplating life’s biggest questions and attempting to locate all of his orange-cat brain cells. This chair WILL accompany Jelly Roll to his new home. This is non-negotiable. We cannot risk disrupting the brain-cell search at this critical stage.

Jelly Roll loves attention and pets, although sometimes his orange operating system becomes overloaded and he’ll give you a little warning/love bite to let you know the petting department has closed for maintenance.

He’s been working hard on his weight-loss journey and has already made great progress, but there’s still some chonk to lose. His new family will need to keep him properly portioned and active so that perhaps, one glorious day, a neck will emerge.

He does well with other cats, although he’s so ridiculously nonchalant about life that he can sometimes be an easy target for bossier cats. A friendly, easygoing feline roommate would probably suit him best.

He has experience with older kids (10+) and does well with them. We don’t know how he would feel about younger children, particularly with his occasional overstimulation bites.

He’s also okay with our senior dog, although a little unsure of him. A calm, cat-savvy dog who respects his space would likely be the best fit.

Jelly Roll is up to date on his vaccines and recently had a dental cleaning, so his smile is officially purrrfect.

In summary:

Orange.

Stinky sock connoisseur.

Looks like a nightclub bouncer.

Is actually a giant baby.

Comes with his emotional-support thinking chair. NON-NEGOTIABLE.

Brain-cell search ongoing.

Does well with friendly cats.

Experienced with kids 10+.

Okay with a calm senior dog, but unsure.

Freshly polished chompers.

Occasional love bite when the petting machine overheats.

Neck also currently missing.

If you’ve been looking for a laid-back, leg-rubbing, sock-sniffing retired nightclub bouncer WITH FURNITURE, Jelly Roll may be your guy. All our cats have sponsored adoption fees and head home with everything they need to get started!
