These two share a quiet, special bond and bring a peaceful presence wherever they settle in.<br/><br/> Striper is the curious one of the pair. He's a bit braver when it comes to exploring and tends to check things out first, but underneath that curiosity is a very sensitive soul. When he's feeling relaxed, he loves a good kneading session — it's his favorite way to unwind. Striper also has a playful side and enjoys feather toys and anything dangling from a string. He once enthusiastically destroyed a scratch pad filled with catnip... so perhaps he should take it easy on the ‘nip. <br/><br/> Jelly is quieter and more observant. She prefers to watch the world from a cozy spot (especially her beloved cardboard box!) and take things in at her own pace. While she appreciates her personal space, Jelly will absolutely come over to request a scritch when she's in the mood — and those moments feel extra special because she chooses them.<br/><br/>Both cats enjoy toys, love mealtime (you'll definitely see them come running!), and prefer to initiate affection on their own terms. They tend to stay near their people but appreciate having a little personal space, making them perfect companions for someone who enjoys the calm presence of cats without needing constant cuddles.<br/><br/>They also have a few charming quirks — they strongly prefer a tidy litter box and will sometimes patiently wait for it to be freshly cleaned before using it! And like many thoughtful cats, they may give you a slightly judgmental look before retreating to observe from a safe distance.<br/><br/>Striper and Jelly would do best in a quiet, peaceful home with cozy beds, safe nooks, and a patient family who understands that trust builds over time. They still enjoy having a little “home base” retreat even when they're comfortable roaming the house. Striper especially enjoys high perches and can jump surprisingly high when the mood strikes.<br/><br/>Their ideal home would likely include female adults, teens, or respectful older children who understand gentle boundaries. They aren't big fans of being picked up, but they tolerate it politely. They may warm up to a calm, respectful man with time, though they tend to feel most comfortable around women. A low-energy, cat-respectful dog could potentially work, as they are more concerned about energy levels than fear.<br/><br/>Striper and Jelly aren't the type of cats who will immediately climb into your lap — but they will quietly fill your home with companionship, gentle curiosity, and the special joy that comes from earning a shy cat's trust.<br/><br/>If you have a peaceful home and room in your heart for two thoughtful, devoted companions, Striper and Jelly would love to meet you. <br/><br/>All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year.
