PLEASE NOTE: Jeanette and Brittney are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together. An adoption co ordinator will be in touch<br/>Nov 25th, 2025 Jeanette and her sister Brittney were found in a shed all alone at about 4 weeks old - one of the other kittens had been partially eaten by an animal so they needed out. No mom was around so they went to a foster home where they were bottle fed. Fast forward 6 weeks and they are now ready to find their new home. Jeanette has been flea treated, dewormed twice, received her 1st FVCRP vaccine and microchipped. , Her 2nd FVCRP vaccine then rabies is the responsibility of her new owner and must be completed prior to her spay by AVA between 5 - 6 months which is included in her $275 adoption fee. Jeanette is great with other cats , is used to a big cat friendly dog, great with older children and loves people She loves to play, zoom, cuddle and groom her sister - they are a bonded pair and we will not separate. No exceptions. Little kittens are not suitable for children under the age of 6. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. She is in a foster home on Hamilton mountain

Action Volunteers for Animals - Hamilton's Adoption Policy
All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens. AVA does not adopt out of province or out of country. Adopters should live within a one-hour radius of our locations in the Greater Toronto Horseshoe Area (GTHA). Due to the overwhelming volume of applications we are receiving, a response to short-listed applicants may be delayed. While we endeavour to contact short-listed applicants within 48 hours, a response may take up to a week. Adoption Fees: Standard adoption fees for cats and kittens include vetting, spay/neuter (at AVA's vets) , deworming, microchip, and initial vaccine at the time of adoption (FVRCP and rabies if age-appropriate). Additional fees may apply for cats who have had or are due for vaccine boosters prior to adoption. Testing for FIV/FeLeuk is not included unless specifically indicated, as testing is not standard practice.   As of April 1st, 2024 AVA’s adoption fee schedule will be as follows: Adult over 1 year: $250 (with initial vaccine) Adult over 1 year: $325 (with second/booster vaccine) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $275 (with initial vaccine) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $350 (with booster vaccine) Seniors ( 10+years) & special needs $200 Special breeds starting at $250 - a $75 additional fee may be applied for special breed who have had a booster administered prior to adoption Total fees will be confirmed by the AVA adoption coordinator Think you found your new best friend?
