She has been shaved down to remove painful mats and her gorgeous fur is in the process of growing back in.<br/><br/>This sweet girl has a calm, independent spirit. She’s not one to demand attention, but she enjoys your presence and will happily keep you company from her favorite cozy spot. Give her a gentle scratch on the top of her head, and you might be rewarded with the softest, most content little eye-close—it’s her quiet way of saying thank you.<br/><br/>Jean loves cozy caves, soft beds, and tucked-away spots under furniture where she feels safe and secure.<br/><br/>Because she has no teeth, she does best with wet food or softened dry food—but she eats well and has great litter box habits with a standard box.<br/><br/>She coexists nicely with other calm, cat-friendly cats but would be just as happy as your one-and-only. She’s a “live and let live” kind of girl who doesn’t ask for much—just kindness, patience, and a predictable environment.<br/><br/>Jean isn’t a lap cat (yet), and she prefers not to be picked up, but she’s a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a quieter connection. She would be perfect for a home looking for a gentle presence—a sweet little soul to share the space, the silence, and the comfort of home.<br/><br/>If you’re looking to open your heart to more than one cat, Jean would also do well with her friend Sapporo.<br/><br/>You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from us. We accept online/electronic credit or debit card pre-payments for adoptions (no cash).<br/><br/>NOTE: Please do not ask us to HOLD a cat/kitten for you. Our space is very limited as we don't have a facility. <br/><br/>Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved. Please ask questions if you're interested in any of our cats
