Jazmine Tabby Syracuse, NY

Jazmine is a 4-5 year old girl who was found as a malnourished stray. She initially had a difficult transition to living indoors and must remain an indoor only cat. She developed an overeating habit and likes to lounge (low activity). She has a small frame with shorter legs and is currently overweight. She is food motivated and needs to remain on a calorie-controlled diet to allow her to continue to lose weight.

She doesn't get along with other pets so is looking for a life as an only cat. Jazmine is shy can take a while to warm up to new people. She hasn’t shown any aggression toward people, but is definitely scared at first and needs to be given time to adjust to new surroundings. Despite her shyness, she loves to be brushed and petted. She enjoys playing with laser pointers, and feather toys. Jazmine is not a lap kitty but will come sit near people, either at their feet or next to them on the couch.

She is not ideal for a first-time cat owner or a family with children. She needs someone with patience to help her to feel safe and open up.
