Meet Jaxly. This beautiful 3–4-year-old lady (about 12 pounds of pure charm) has come a long way on her journey to finding love and safety. Jaxly is FIV-positive, but don’t let that scare you off! FIV can’t be transmitted to humans, dogs, or any other species — and among cats, it’s only spread through deep bite wounds. Jaxly likely contracted it after being abandoned and having to defend herself on the streets, but those rough days are long behind her. Thanks to a caring Good Samaritan and her patient foster family, Jaxly has learned that humans can be kind and gentle. While she may never be a lap cat, she will happily curl up beside you for a cozy TV night or nap in a sunny spot nearby. Jaxly loves other cats and would thrive in a home with a friendly, confident feline companion to show her the ropes. If you’re looking for a sweet, quiet soul who’s overcome hardship and still believes in love, Jaxly is waiting for you.
