Jax #3-mousketeers's Story

CUTE HALF-MOUSTACHE ON LEFT LIP

DOB 1/11/23

Hey everyone! I’m Jax, a very sweet, shy, and gorgeous – if I do say so myself – 11-pound mitted gray tabby fella with white encircling my neck and embellishing my chest. Do you like my cute brown half-moustache on my left lip? I love Foster Meowmy’s gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches. She’s learned not to pet me too fast or roughly so that I won’t get scared. When she tickles my belly, I give her well-meaning love-bites. Since they sometimes hurt, she’s learned to focus her petting attention on my ears, chin, and cheeks.

My brothers Jerry, Tomm, and I, a.k.a. #3-mousketeers, were less than a year old when we showed up as homeless strays in Foster Meowmy’s neighborhood. Initially she trapped, neutered, and released us. After about a year of feeding us, when her last foster kitten had been adopted, she decided that, with a little time and patience, we’d make wonderful indoor companion pets. It did take a while for her to earn my trust, but once I realized how much she loved me (thanks to treat rewards!), I’m now all hers!! Boy howdy! With 20-20 hindsight, I much prefer brimming food/ water bowls as well as my climate-controlled indoor foster home! It’s like an oasis from battling Houston’s derechos, hurricanes, and winter storms. The hardscrabble outdoor life is for the birds!

I have some catching-up to do as a young adult fella because exploring life indoors is an all-new adventure for me! After I started feeling more comfortable over the next few weeks, I started settling in. A routine of toys and treats was a delightful discovery! I’m confident that, once I figure out any new environment, I’ll feel relaxed and secure. Arrange to meet me today! I can’t wait to meet you!

HOPE ID 25-0110-M013

Jax's $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.

To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php

If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Jax will be this weekend, email us at sfenicle1@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you.
