Jasmine's Story

Hello, I'm Jasmine! I'm known for my bravery and sweet nature. Recently, I faced a challenging night but emerged as a proud mom. My friendly disposition makes me a favorite among shelter visitors. I love meeting new people and am always ready for a gentle pat or a playful moment. If you're looking for a courageous and loving companion, I'm your cat! My resilience and affectionate spirit will surely make any home a happier place. Consider adding me to your family; I'm ready to love and be loved.

Note from Paws humans: Well Jasmine certainly did face a challenging night. Someone was trying to trap racoons, and they caught a very pregnant Jasmine by mistake. She gave birth overnight in the trap. The person who caught her just left her on his neighbor's front porch, because they have a couple of cats so he figured they could handle it! Jasmine was definitely not theirs, so they brought her and her newborn babies (Cinderella and Belle) to us where they could be cared for until they find a forever home. The kittens are weaned now, and Jasmine has been spayed so they're all ready to start their next adventure. Jasmine was a wonderful mother, but she's ready for some pampering now! To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt.

We do not do same-day adoptions, as we have an adoption application which must be completed and verified. We do not allow declawing of any of our animals even after they are adopted, and you must sign a contract agreeing to this (we sometimes take cats in who have already been declawed). We also require that all of the cats and kittens adopted from us must be kept exclusively indoors.
