See other post for his dynamic twin, Orlando! These two tuxedo gents came to us in desperate need from a shelter, after being surrendered as strays. They both suffered severe leg injuries outside. It's a hard life outside for such small creatures. Their tales didn't start with luck, but we're working to change that! Help add some luck by sharing their story.<br/><br/>Jake, our white goatee gent, injured his front left leg, but the vet stated the injury went too far unset so his bones have healed & calcified around the fracture. The vet is optimistic that Jake will not need amputation or any surgery. He has slowly started applying pressure to the leg and is in good spirits!<br/><br/>Orlando, our white-striped nose cutie, suffered a bit more damage to his back left leg. He went under sedation yesterday for the vet to further examine. Both lateral and medial ligaments are nonexistent on his knee. What does that mean? That his 2 bones connecting to form the knee area scrape back and forth on each other sideways. OUCH!!!! He can't lower the leg due to this potential motion & pain, so he stays crouched. The vet is optimistic that he can save the leg by pinning the 2 bones together to help them fuse together at a proper knee angle, allowing Orlando proper walking and jumping motion. This will be an extensive surgery. And who would have thought...it's on April 1st! Nope, not a joke. He'll need recoup time, but he's ready for all his luck to turn around in a loving, forever home.<br/><br/>Despite all of their hardships, these boys are extremely affectionate and social. They absolutely love each other and other cats! Jake is quite the nosey spunk, ready to explore everything without fear. Orlando is the gentle darling who loves everyone and just wants to be pet. We have no clue if they came from the same area, but these two decided they ADORE each other. Two wounded angels dressed in tuxedos. What a pair!<br/><br/>Would you be their luck and give them endless love? Not required to adopt 2 gents together, but oh the forever happiness!<br/><br/>Adoption fee $25 each<br/>Birthdate: 7-1-2022 <br/><br/>This animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested negative, and microchipped.
