JADIS's Story

Two-year-old Jadis wasn't exactly thrilled when he was removed from the outdoors and brought into HSWC. With Christmas just three days away, his holiday plans were ruined, but thankfully so were any plans he might've had to reproduce. Jadis originally seemed likely to return to his life in the great outdoors, given that he didn't seem to enjoy humans, but as it turns out, he's changed his mind! While he's still not a fan of his face being petted, Jadis now loves full body pets and head scratches! He's shown us that he's a very sweet, friendly boy who is very easily motivated by treats. He came from the streets, but now he's ready to lounge on some comfy sheets! Jadis will need an adopter who will give him a proper acclimation period after bringing him home. A kennel hasn't opened up for him on the adoption floor yet, but just ask for him by name, and we'll introduce you! Give this big ol' boy a loving home today! * We're not sure if Jadis has lived with dogs before. We recommend slow introductions after he's fully acclimated to his new home. * Jadis would likely do best with older children who are respectful to cats and won't pet him on the face. * Jadis may do well with other cats. We recommend slow introductions after he's fully adjusted to his new home. * Jadis is 2 years old and weighs almost 12 pounds. He's been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Jadis is ready to go home TODAY!
