Hello, I'm Jade. I've been told I'm a bit of a wallflower, but I prefer to think of myself as a quiet observer. I'm independent, which means I won't be under your feet all the time. I do enjoy the company of other cats, though. I'm gentle, so you won't have to worry about any sudden movements or loud noises. I'm shy, very shy. It takes me a little while to warm up to new people, but once I do, I promise you'll have a friend for life. Why should you adopt me? Because every home needs a gentle soul like me, someone who can bring a sense of calm and tranquility. I might be shy, but I have a lot of love to give. Jade is spayed and up to date on all her vetting. She'd prefer a quiet home with other cats. My adoption fee is sponsored! Highland County Humane Society's Adoption Policy

All of our adoptable animals are pulled from local pounds, strays or owner surrenders. Interested in adoption? Contact us at info@highlandcountyhumanesociety.org for an application to be emailed or mailed to you. Once we've received your application, it's reviewed for approval, once approved, a date and time is arranged to meet the pet. Currently all of our animals are in foster homes. We can meet you or arrange transportation for meeting the adoptable pet or for releasing the pet into your care. Adoption fees include pre-adoption spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and flea/tick treatment. Currently we are a foster-based program.
