Jade is precious because of everything she's survived.<br/><br/>Jade came from one of the worst hoarding situations weve ever encountered—the infamous J Street home. She was one of so many forgotten cats born into a life where love was scarce, medical care didnt exist, and simply surviving each day was an accomplishment. She was given the name Jade because she truly is a gem, and because, like so many of the cats rescued from J Street, her journey deserved to begin with a J.<br/><br/>When Jade first came into rescue, we werent sure what her future would hold. She had spent so much of her life outside that we even ear-tipped her, believing she might never feel comfortable living indoors. We were wrong... and were so happy we were.<br/><br/>Once Jade realized she was finally safe, her true personality blossomed. The shy survivor became one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats you could ever hope to meet. She doesnt just ask for attention—she launches herself toward it, enthusiastically ramming her head into your hand until the pets begin. And once you start, shell happily convince you that stopping is not an option.<br/><br/>Like so many of her friends from the J Street rescue, Jade has been battling stomatitis, a painful condition that has made eating uncomfortable for far too long. On August 6, shell undergo the dental surgery she needs to finally leave that pain behind. Its one more step in a journey thats taken her from neglect... to safety... to a future filled with love.<br/><br/>After she heals, Jade will finally be ready for the one thing shes never truly had: a family of her own.<br/><br/>If you believe that every cat deserves a second chance, Jade is waiting to show you just how much love can come from a heart that was never given enough of it.
