Meet Jacqueline

Jacqueline was found as a scrawny sickly stray hanging around an assisted living apartment complex in Mount Carmel begging for food. It was feared she was declawed and abandoned outside. She only weighed 6 pounds and much of her pretty black and white long haired coat was falling out.

She took some time to recover from her ordeal at the shelter. We found out she was not declawed but just gentle with her paws. Her beautiful black and white coat has now grown back. She is mostly black with a cute white chin that looks like she’s frowning and long white fur on her chest. She is complemented by long white whiskers and a big bushy black tail.

Jacqueline is still a little hand shy at the shelter, but may just be overwhelmed by the other cats. She took a vacation from the shelter for several weeks and was described as an upbeat and playful girl who loves chasing strings and playing in water. She does like affection and being pet. She might do better as the only cat in a quieter home so she could have you all to herself.

Jacqueline is 1-2 years old and is FeLV/FIV negative, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, litter trained and spayed. If you’re interested in adopting Jacqueline please contact Michelle at 570-759-0920 or michelle@nokillarc.org.
