Jackson / Alex's Story

Jackson (gray) and Alex (brown) are the definition of ride or die. These 11-month-old brothers are the very best of friends and are happiest when they know where the other is. They may take a week or so to fully come out of their shells, but once they trust you and know they're loved & safe, they are complete goofballs. Both boys have wonderful manners - they are professional litter box users, even politely waiting for the other one to wrap up his business before doing theirs in the same box, and we have not heard a hiss or been swatted once.

Alex is the more confident of the two, while Jackson prefers the watch and learn approach. He gets his confidence from his brother, and as it builds, he will begin exploring more and more of the world around him. Alex loves to spend part of the day on a perch looking out the window, whereas Jackson loves a good cave-like spot. They are both affectionate and find joy in scent marking you with their heads, cheeks, and sides, even when you've just recently met. Alex will happily lounge in your lap if you have a blanket for him to rest on, whereas Jackson prefers to watch from afar. However, as he grows more comfortable with someone, I can imagine him happily snuggling his person or people.

These boys love a good meal, which they define as literally any cat food. While you may win their hearts faster with wet food or a Churu-type treat, they won't scoff at a bowl of dry kibble. Alex is a lover of spirals, wands, balls, laser, string, and more noisy toys. Jackson is a bit more noise sensitive and feels most comfortable letting his predator show when pouncing on a simple string that is dragged in front of him.

These boys do well in a decompression room, but once they've been introduced to the entire home, their inspector hats rarely come off. Both Jackson and Alex love to run up and down the basement stairs, getting their fill of curiosity from one floor before they move on to the other. Of course, they are big believers in breaks, so you are more likely to find them lounging than running or playing.

If you're looking for fairly easy and low maintenance cats who wear their hearts on their kitty sleeves, this bonded pair might just be for you. In addition to getting two new buddies in your life, you can also watch the unbeatable joy of two beings openly expressing their love for one another (usually through gentle head butts, but you may catch a grooming session or two).
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.

Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.

Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat?
