Jackpot!'s Story

This adoption is in cooperation with PureJoy Cat Cafe on Beville Rd in Daytona Beach, FL. Please contact the Cafe at the email below with any further questions or to set up a time to meet the pet. Thank you.

Please email PureJoy Cat Cafe if interested: purejoycatcafe@gmail.com

Cat located in this city: Daytona Beach, FL

Cat’s Name: JACKPOT!

Cat’s Age & Sex: Male, approx 1 yr old

Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): Jack has been neutered, chipped and vaccinated

Kitty’s story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome): This little guy hit the JACKPOT when he was found as a kitten alone in a junkyard with only adult ferals, all fixed. He was rescued, vetted and fostered with other (friendly) cats until he moved to the PureJoy Cat Cafe. He’s taking some time to adjust to all the new cats there but he’s learning his way around quickly.

Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): This little guy is gorgeous with really distinctive markings on his face and a white-tipped tail. Jack is shy at first with people but when all attention is on him, he loves to be loved, purrs, and enjoys his people. He’s shy with other cats at first but has been a very playful, fun-loving kitty with his fosters so we know he’ll make a great kitty companion for another playful kitty.

What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): Jack likes his wet food but gets some dry as well.

:::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we recommend double this).

For more info on the importance of wet food, please go to: FurryNationSalvation.Org/wetfood

IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT:
Please contact PureJoy Cat Cafe for the adoption application.
Upon approval:
1) Please show up with a cat carrier
2) Small adoption fee of: $125
3) We will call/text one month from adoption day just to make sure everything is going well
4) Please show up with your Driver's License.
5) Information sheet will be filled out (your information as well as ours)

*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.

Email PureJoy Cat Cafe if interested in this kitty: purejoycatcafe@gmail.com
