Jack's Story

Jack! Jackie-cat?? From his early career as a kitty of the great outdoors to his embrace of being a plush and affectionate housecat, Jack is smart and sweet. When he went through corrective eye surgery, he was a model of patience and affection in recovery. He is now a gorgeous cat of leisure. He loves chin scratches and belly rubs and his purring motor starts up first thing every morning. He loves snoozing in the sun and is also super playful—loves his crinkle ball wand and laser pointer. We have so loved having him—Jack has quickly come to feel like family, and we wish him so much happiness with his forever home family too.

Jack is available as a solo companion, but gets along with other felines if you have a furry friend already at home! Jack recently underwent an eyelid surgery for a condition called Entropion, where the lower eye lid curled into the eye and caused pain from lashes scratching his cornea. He has recovered well and is now a healthy, happy young man. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and FIV/FeLV negative.

Apply to adopt Jack!:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1LL9Uddug-pGkogCqD2fo06-04xxd64kUmuMpi0L_54s/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=108351838153947673090

Brooklyn Kitty Committee's Adoption Policy
Applicants are encouraged to complete an adoption application (linked on this page). Once reviewed, a member of our organization will schedule a virtual interview with ALL members of your household. Persons under 21 years are not eligible to adopt unless they are living in a family home and their guardian agrees to the adoption and co-signs their adoption agreement. If your application is approved, we will coordinate a meet & greet with the kitty/kitties of your choice (where appropriate). If you choose to move forward with one of these kitties and we agree that it is an appropriate fit, you will complete an adoption agreement and an adoption fee must be completed prior to finalizing adoption and providing all medical records to you. If you have another pet at home, a minimum 2 week foster-to-adopt period will be mandatory to ensure that the pets get along in your home. Adopters will complete a foster contract, which states that the cat/kitten is still under the guardianship of our organization until a formal adoption agreement has been completed.
