Jack's Story
Jack is one of our beloved “J Boys”—three brothers who hold a particularly special place in the story of Revelation Gardens.

Jack, Jasper and Joseph came to us as tiny orphans and were among our very first rescues, back when Revelation Gardens was operating from a small shop in town. There were originally four kittens in the litter, and their sister went on to become our very first adoption.

The three brothers stayed, and somewhere along the way Jack, Jasper and Joseph simply became affectionately known as the J Boys.

Jack is an incredibly sweet, easygoing boy who loves attention. He’s a definite lap kitty who enjoys being cuddled and petted, and he’s quite happy to settle in for some quality time with his person.

There is just one thing you should know about Jack:

Jack decides when petting time is over.

If you happen to disagree and try to leave before he’s ready, Jack has been known to reach out with a paw—and sometimes a claw—to encourage you to reconsider your decision. It’s his not-so-subtle way of saying, “Wait. I wasn’t done with you yet.”

Jack and his brothers have shown us just how deeply they can form relationships with people. For a long time, they had a special volunteer who came twice a week specifically to spend time with them. When health issues prevented her from continuing those visits, we could see that the boys missed her. Their response reminded us how much having a person of their own could mean to them.

Jack has spent his entire life with Jasper and Joseph and could certainly be adopted with one or both of his brothers. However, we don’t want their lifelong relationship to prevent any of the J Boys from finding a wonderful home of his own. We would consider individual or joint adoption depending on the home and what seems best for each of them.

If you’re looking for a loving lap cat—and you don’t mind occasionally being informed that your cuddling shift isn’t over yet—Jack may be your boy.
