IZZY (UPDATED PROFILE)

If you've been following Izzy, you've most likely noticed that she's been with us for a long time now. And in truth, some cats adjust to losing everything (as Izzy once did) and quickly move on to attach to new humans. Others, like Izzy, grieve a lot longer and are slow to connect with new people. <br/><br/>We know that Izzy was once a house cat, then sudden;y found herself outside, terrified and alone. perhaps her owner died and the next of kin figured she'd be fine outside (yes, that happens a lot). Or maybe her family moved and decided she'd find a new home herself (yes, people really do that too). <br/><br/>When first at the shelter, Izzy was careful with the volunteers, unsure if they were friends. Unsure what was happening or even if she was safe. She watched them and didn't want to be touched. <br/><br/>She is so much better now and tries so hard to be brave, but Izzy has a long memory. She knows what it's like to lose everything.
