Ivy's Story

Ivy - Playful, Affectionate, and Full of Personality

Ivy is about 2.5 years old and came to the shelter as a stray. This petite girl will reveal an incredibly affectionate personality to anyone who can give her a little patience while she settles in. As a former street cat, she isn't 100% trusting yet but she is absolutely full of love.

Despite her small size, Ivy gives enthusiastic headbutts and loves attention. Gentle pets are nice, but once she decides she likes you, she really enjoys confident scratches and lots of affection. She's a playful and curious girl whose favorite hobbies include watching the bird feeder, chasing wand toys, enjoying a little catnip, and stretching out somewhere warm.

Ivy's foster home currently has both dogs and other cats. She greets them by chirping sweetly and rolling onto her back, inviting them to play. Her foster companions are sleepy seniors who are a bit too old to keep up with her, but Ivy clearly enjoys having company around.

One of Ivy's greatest loves is food. She gets very excited at mealtime and will happily chase kibble across the floor like a tiny lioness. She's a clever girl who would probably enjoy learning tricks or games for treats.

Ivy has beautiful and unusual coloring. At first glance she may look like she has two colors, but her soft white fur actually includes both solid grey and tabby grey patches. When she looks up at you with her sparkling sage-green eyes, she'll often give you a sweet slow blink.

Ivy would do best with a patient and cat-savvy family who can give her a little time to settle into a new environment. Once comfortable, her affectionate and playful personality really shines. She would likely enjoy a home with other cats and/or a friendly dog, and could also do well with older children who understand how to interact gently with cats.

As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only.
