Meet Isabella – A Sweetheart Ready for Her Forever Home REDUCED ADOPTION FEE! Isabella is a beautiful 1-year-old kitty who was found fending for herself in the cold. Now that she's safe and warm, she's ready to begin a new life with someone who will love and protect her forever. This gentle girl is incredibly sweet, friendly, and full of affection. She truly enjoys human companionship and has so much love to give her fur-ever family. Isabella is FIV+, and we recommend she be adopted into a home with another FIV+ cat friend or as the only kitty. FIV is not contagious to dogs or people. Isabella is not sick and does not need any medications, etc. It's an immune system issue, similar to lupus, etc. where their immunity could be lower if they do get sick, so they should go to the vet if they get a cold, etc. (which most good pet owners would do anyway). With proper care and indoor living away from illness, FIV+ cats can live long, happy, healthy lives. Isabella has been patiently waiting to meet someone special — could that be you?

Whiskers Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy

All of our cats and kittens are tested for FIV and FeLV and receive age-appropriate vaccines. They are spayed/neutered at 4 months of age. Younger kittens come with a voucher (included in their adoption fee) that may be redeemed for a free spay/neuter at Southbury Veterinary Hospital. Approved application and vet reference (or an interview, if you don't have a vet) required to adopt.
