Iroh's Story
🐾 Meet Iroh! 🐾

This sweet senior boy is looking for a home to spend his golden years with his forever person. At 10 years old, Iroh enjoys spending his days napping in warm sunbeams, relaxing anywhere that looks comfy and soft, and most of all being loved in the safety of indoors. That's right, we don't know much about his past life, but Iroh was found outdoors. We like to simply think of him as a old man whose lived an exciting life in the outside world and is now ready for a quiet retirement.

Iroh would love a nice window to perch on and watch his former feathered friends occasionally visit. He is FIV+ and positively happy, affectionate and ready for his next chapter. Once he settles in, he happily greets you at the door and is sure to make your heart melt anytime you see him. He is an excellent work helper and the perfect addition for a very special person who can give him all the love, cheek scratches and treats he deserves.

If you think you could be Iroh's match, he hopes you will fill out an application today!

Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below.

https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/

______________________________

Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/

Please Note:

If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed.

About Ten Lives:

Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.

Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!

All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
