Meet Iris - A Little Fighter with a Big Heart<br/><br/>Iris is an 11-month-old calico who has proven time and time again just how resilient and loving she is. Despite the rough start she had, she hasn&#39;t let it dull her spirit. She was found abandoned in a carrier outside a volunteer&#39;s friend&#39;s home, left in the hopes that someone would take care of her-and that&#39;s exactly what we did.<br/><br/>When Iris first arrived at Smitten Kitten Animal Rescue, her eyes were in such severe condition that we feared she might lose one or both. But Iris is a fighter. After multiple rounds of antibiotics and eye treatments, she made an incredible recovery. Now, the only reminder of her past struggles is a little cloudiness in her left eye-an astonishing improvement from where she started.<br/><br/>Since then, Iris has grown into a sweet, affectionate young cat who adores attention and loves to snuggle. She purrs the moment you touch her and would make a wonderful lap cat for anyone looking for a loving companion. She recently returned to the rescue through no fault of her own and is once again ready to find her forever home.<br/><br/>In her previous home, Iris lived with young children and another cat. While she sometimes got a little nervous around loud noises, she became very close friends with the other cat in the household. She loves feather wand toys, cozy naps, and spending time with her people.<br/><br/>Iris has been through a lot in her short life, and she&#39;s ready for the stability and love of a forever home where she can feel safe and cherished.
