Top Cats ResQ's Adoption Policy
At Top Cats ResQ, we believe in finding the perfect match between our cats and their new families. To ensure a smooth and successful adoption process, we have the following policies in place: Adoption Application All potential adopters must complete an adoption application. This helps us understand your home environment, lifestyle, and preferences to ensure the best fit for both you and the cat. Home Visit We may require a home visit or video tour to ensure the environment is safe and appropriate for the cat. This step helps us assess the space where the cat will live and ensure it is a secure and comfortable environment. Adoption Fee An adoption fee is required to help cover the cost of veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, and general care for the cats. Fees vary depending on the cat's age and medical needs. Spay/Neuter Requirement All cats are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We believe in responsible pet ownership, and this helps control the population of homeless animals. Age Requirements Adopters must be at least 18 years old to apply for adoption. We recommend that children under the age of 12 be supervised during interactions with cats. Adoption Follow-Up After adoption, we may conduct follow-up calls or visits to check on the cat’s adjustment to their new home and well-being. We are always here to offer guidance and support to our adopters. Return Policy While we aim for successful, permanent placements, we understand that sometimes things don’t work out. If, for any reason, the adoption needs to be reversed, we ask that the cat be returned to Top Cats ResQ. We are committed to ensuring the well-being of every cat in our care. No Declawing Policy Top Cats ResQ strongly opposes the practice of declawing cats. We do not adopt to families or individuals who plan to declaw any cat adopted from our organization. Adoption Agreement All adopters must sign an adoption agreement that outlines their responsibilities for the cat’s care, including providing proper food, medical care, and a safe living environment.
