Iris's Story

Iris and her sister, Izzy, were surrendered when the family they had been with since they were kittens had a change and the cats no longer fit into the family. Although they have lived together their whole lives, Iris and Izzy tolerate each other, but aren't bonded and can be adopted separately. Iris is the larger of the two girls and the most people-oriented. She loves hanging with her people and is definitely a lap cat. Both girls are in good health and ready to go to their forever homes!

Laps and Naps Home for Senior Cats Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Adopters download and complete an adoption application from our website and email it back to info@lapsandnaps.org. After reviewing the application, either the director or the animal care coordinator calls the potential adopter and conducts a phone interview. A home visit is sometimes conducted and, if the adopter is approved, arrangements are made for the adopter to meet the cat (s)he is interested in adopting. If it's a good match, the adopter pays the adoption fee, signs an adoption contract, and the cat goes to its new home.
