Irina (Sister of Iona)'s Story
Our rescue is based out of Pikesville, Maryland!

We typically do not adopt more than 45 minutes away from Pikesville, so please bear that in mind! Also, if you are viewing this cat on Petfinder, note that ALL of our animals are spayed/neutered despite what it says.

Irina and her siblings, Iona and Ivan (adopted), were rescued from a feral colony when they were about 7 or 8 weeks old. They all had terrible eye infections, and with lots of care, they have improved by leaps and bounds!

Irina is a ticked tan tabby with white and she has some orange in her, making her borderline calico. She has a very interesting coat! She is a purr girl who enjoys being petted and held, at least once she gets to know you. She can be on the shy side, but ultimately enjoys human attention. She would do best in a quiet home without small children.

Irina was the worst of the group eye-wise, and seeing her beautiful little eyes is such a miracle!

Irina and Iona both have chronic weepy eyes lingering from their early kittenhood eye infections. It's unknown whether this will ever resolve. Irina also has a birth defect in her spine that does not keep her from running around and doing everything a normal kitten does.

Please consider adopting Irina with her sister, Iona, or another friend. Single-kitten adoptions are possible when there are other playful and cat-friendly cats in the home. Learn more about the reason why we don't adopt kittens out alone.

This litter has an estimated date of birth of October 14th, 2025. Irina and Iona are small for their age, with Irina being particularly small. They are both already spayed and ready for their forever home!

Needs Must Cats will have received full vetting including spay or neuter, FIV/FLV testing, microchip, and treatment for parasites by time of adoption. The adoption fee in the amount below helps us assist more cats and kittens in urgent need. These fees do not even begin to cover our expenses so please consider making an additional donate to support our life-saving efforts!

Special Needs or Barn Cat - Donation

Adult Cat / Kitten over 6 months - $90

Kitten under 6 months - $150

Pair of Kittens - $275

Please feel free to contact us by email with any questions, or submit your application here: http://www.needsmust.org/adopt
