Ingrid's Story
Ingrid and her housemates were victims of a house fire. That fire led to the discovery of a hoarding situation with over 60 cats! Sadly, the fire claimed the lives of nearly everyone- leaving just Ingrid and three other survivors.

Ingrid and her three surviving housemates fought hard to survive. All were treated for smoke inhalation, severely burned paw pads, singed fur, and the effects of smoke getting into their eyes.

Ingrid's journey was a complicated one. At her first vet visit, it was discovered that she had something abnormal in her abdomen. Abdominal ultrasound revealed that she had a ginormous ovarian cyst that had somehow adhered to one of her kidneys. As a result of this, Ingrid lost that kidney. She was also spayed (removing the cyst too). The surgery was extremely complicated and recovery was quite scary. Four months later, Ingrid has made a full recovery and is ready for the absolute best home ever.

She is a goofball- silly, playful, bossy. She loves other cats and must have at least one young playmate in her new home. NO dogs and no small kids- we have to be mindful of Ingrid's missing kidney and avoid anyone or anything grabbing her roughly. Ingrid is about 10 month old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative.

To meet her, please visit our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org and submit an application. Adoption donation $275.
