Indy's Story

Beautiful calico Indy is a 4-year-old kitty who came to the Franklin Township Animal Shelter as a stray. She was adopted, but recently returned due to a change in her owner’s living arrangements. Indy appears somewhat shy, but with time to warm up, her little engine really starts to purr! She enjoys gentle petting and brushing and likes to snuggle up on your lap. She would be okay with a feline or canine friend and in a home with older kids. If you have a relatively quiet home, Indy just may be your girl!

Franklin Township Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Adoption fee for dogs, cats, kittens, and rabbits is $80 per animal. Cats, dogs, rabbits and kittens are spayed/neutered. Cats, dogs, and kittens are microchipped, and up-to-date on all age-appropriate shots prior to adoption. Cats have also been tested for feline leukemia and FIV and dogs have been tested for heartworm. An adoption application may be found at the link below. Applications can be faxed to the Animal Shelter at 732-873-8902 or e-mailed to Brian.Hartman@FranklinNJ.Gov. Applications may also be dropped off in person during our open hours Tuesday-Friday 12pm-3pm Saturday 12-6pm.
