In Foster-to-Adopt!! Kitten: Tricky *Tripod Alert!*'s Story

**Currently in Foster-to-adopt so we will trake one more application on him, but the foster to adopt family gets first dibs**

Tricky - loves other cats, tolerates dogs... it's the people he's not so sure about. He's playful. He would need a home with a patient adopter who can help him come out of his shell. Born with part of his back leg missing, which he still uses and doesn't seem to bother him.

T litter: Tricky (3 legged male black tux), Treat (black tux girl), Tootsie (black solid girl), Twizler (black solid boy), Taffy (black solid boy), Twix (black solid boy),

They were rescued from Wilkins Avenue in the middle of Baltimore city. High traffic area with not very safe neighborhoods. One of our volunteers was actually driving back from a colony that's even more Inner City then this one after trapping some other cats and looked over into the yard across the street while at a light and saw a whole bunch of cute little black cat Halloween decor.

And then they all moved .... and she realized that they aren't decor but actually kittens so she did a u-turn at the next light and knocked on some doors.

1 week, 7 kittens, 1 bold young adult AND 1 emaciated 5 yo adult later.... and that corner of the street is cat free (for now ).

Having officially turned the socialization corner. They'd rather be a part of the action than spend their days hiding. Comfy beds, a warm house, regular meals, and chin scratches are a few of their favorite things. They also have discovered that toys are pretty entertaining, and make some pretty adorable chirping noises when they play.

They get along well with the other cat in our foster home. They have seen plenty of dogs, and were not super impressed, but could learn to live with them given time and proper introductions. While it would be nice, they do not need to go together. They have been neutered, began their vaccines, are Felv/FIV negative, and are health checked.

Interested in Adopting a kitty?!

The first step in the adoption process is the adoption application which is located on our website rescueandadopt.org/adopt. It costs $15 to apply, and that $15 will be subtracted from the adoption fee, which is processed as a donation and eligible to be a tax write-off.

Our website includes a lot of info, including a FAQ page with lots of answers.

From there if all looks good we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with you and the adoptable kitty. We are a foster system so we do not have a facility. Visits to meet an adoptable animal at a foster family is by appointment only.

If all goes well at the meet and greet, the next step from there would be the video home check and adoption visit where we bring the kitty with us to your home to ensure that you have all the basic supplies set up in an isolation/ introduction room. We can also help answer any additional questions you may have at this time. Then we would do the adoption paperwork and finalize the adoption.
