Imogene was rescued from a property along a busy road that had become severely overrun with sick, feral cats. Several cats on the property were suffering from serious medical issues, and two of Imogene's littermates had to have an eye removed because of severe infections. We simply couldn't bear the thought of these cats being returned to that life.<br/><br/>So, despite having had virtually no human contact, we brought Imogene and the others to safety with the hope that, given enough time and patience, they might eventually learn to trust people.<br/><br/>Thankfully, Imogene decided we were worth getting to know! <br/><br/>She can still be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she gets comfortable with you, she becomes a completely different cat. Imogene is flirtatious, incredibly purry, affectionate, and loves attention. She has gone from a scared cat who barely knew people could be trusted to a sweet girl who actively enjoys their company and we couldn't be more proud of her.<br/><br/>Imogene also loves other cats and absolutely needs a home with feline companionship. Having other friendly cats around makes her feel comfortable and secure, and she would thrive with one or more kitty friends!<br/><br/>Because she has never actually lived in a home before, Imogene will need a patient family and a quieter household where she can take her time adjusting to all the new sights, sounds, and experiences. She may need some time to settle in, but once she realizes she's safe, we expect her wonderful personality to shine.<br/><br/>And honestly, with her sweet personality and absolutely stunning good looks, we think Imogene is more than worth the extra time and patience! <br/><br/>She has already overcome so much. Now she just needs someone willing to give her the time she deserves to discover how wonderful having a home can be.
