Imogen's Story
Beautiful Imogen is a lovely tabby girl born in February 2020, and like so many hidden gems, she has been quietly waiting far too long for her forever family — over three years.

Imogen is a courtesy listing for Animal Rescue Connection (ARC). During her long wait, she has gone from foster home… to PetSmart… and back to foster again. Through every move and every change, she has remained incredibly sweet and gentle — always hoping her turn would finally come.

Imogen’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was diagnosed with stomatitis, a painful dental condition, but thanks to the compassionate care of Alamo Feline Health Center, she received the treatment she needed and is now cured. Because of the disease, she only has a few teeth left — but don’t let that worry you. Imogen eats both kibble and wet food just fine and doesn’t let anything slow her down.

She may be a little shy when you first meet her. After all, she’s had to adjust to so many changes in her life. But give her a little patience and a little kindness, and she will come to you for pets. Once she trusts you, she melts into affection and shows just how loving she truly is. There is something so special about watching a shy cat choose you — and Imogen will absolutely choose her person.

Right now, she is staying in the kitten cottage at Bulverde Area Humane Society, where she gets along wonderfully with the other cats. She enjoys their company and would likely do well in a home with feline friends. Most of all, though, she deserves stability — a quiet, loving home where she will never have to start over again.

Imogen has waited long enough. She has overcome health challenges. She has handled every transition with grace. She is sweet, resilient, and ready to love.

If you are interested in meeting Imogen, please contact:

Bulverde Area Humane Society
Open: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
(830) 980-42247
cats.bahs@gmail.com

Come visit her at the kitten cottage and give this deserving girl the forever home she’s been patiently dreaming of.
