Illy's Story

Meet Illy (aka Silly Billy Illy) Illy is a 7-month-old bundle of joy with a heart as big as his personality. He came to us after being found, lovingly nursed back to health, and absolutely adored by his previous family. Unfortunately, a severe allergy in the household meant they couldn't keep him-but they made sure Illy landed somewhere safe and full of love. True to his nickname, Illy is a sweet, energetic, silly boy who lives for playtime. Toys are his passion, zoomies are his talent, and making people smile is his full-time job. He's curious, outgoing, and always ready for the next adventure. Illy does great with children and loves being part of the action. He's still a little unsure around other cats, so slow introductions (or being your one-and-only star) would be ideal while he continues to build confidence. This happy little guy has already known what it feels like to be deeply loved-and he's ready to feel that again, forever this time. Illy is ready to bring laughter, energy, and endless fun into his next home.

Toledo Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

Steps to Take: Please visit the Rescue website to see all of our available animals If you see an animal you are interested in please submit an adoption application. Once we have received that application we will review it, and call you to schedule an appointment to come and meet our animals! On the application, if you do not have a veterinarian reference, please consider one you may be using. Adoption visits may or may not happen on the same day. Adoption approval may take a few days. On the Day of Adoption: If you are adopting a dog, please bring a carrier and/or leash and collar with you to pick up your pet. If you are adopting a cat, you will be required to bring a carrier. Animals are not deemed adopted until all paperwork has been processed, fees paid, and the animal is released. Adoption Fees Cover the Following: Up to date shots/vaccinations for the pet's age Deworming Heartworm test (dogs over 6 months) FIV/FeLeuk test (cats) Petlink Microchip Spay/Neuter Includes free vet exam within 2 weeks after adoption. All animals are spayed or neutered before adoption. Please note there’s no such thing as a “free pet.” Such medical procedures performed by the Rescue would cost well over $300 at an animal hospital.
