Ida's Story

Miss Ida was found wandering around the Ida Lee Recreation Center tennis courts a little over three weeks ago. Her foster mom’s son brought her home wrapped in a blanket. After posting her on multiple websites and filing a report with LCAS, it appears that Ida does not have a family looking for her.

Ida is a senior cat (7+) and a beautiful dilute tortie. You couldn’t ask for a better cat!! She is comfortable with anyone and everyone. She loves to be held and enjoys hanging with the humans. Ida snuggles in bed (by her foster mom’s head) and sleeps on the recliner with her foster mom and dad. She’s currently living with two dogs and five other cats. Ida is not concerned with the dogs. She has not been fond of the other cats, but she has not been involved in any fights – more hissing than anything, and that has been lessening.

Since coming into foster care, Ida has gotten her rabies and FVRCP vaccines, gotten dewormed, and given flea/tick prevention. She was previously spayed. After bloodwork, it was determined that Ida needs daily thyroid medication for hyperthyroidism. She is a smaller cat and would definitely benefit from putting on some weight.

Ida would be the absolutely perfect cat for an older couple or someone living in a 55+ community. Ida is a lovely cat and would be the best companion for someone – she has no negatives!!

Apply here: https://www.loudouncommunitycats.org/adoptions
