Hunter's Story
Hunter is a BIG BOY! He is overweight, however he has lost weight since coming into the shelter. Hunter was surrendered because his owner was no longer able to provide for him. He is best in a home as the only pet as he is a bit set in his ways at 9 years of age. Hunter is a very food-oriented cat, hence his obesity. We have limited his food intake at the shelter to assist with his weight reduction. He would really do well in a quiet home with lots of opportunity for exercise and a committed person to help maintain a healthy diet for him. He is declawed (he came in that way) and needs to get as much weight off of him to prevent back injury due to that operation. Hunter likes to be petted just not carried around because of his weight
