Huey & Louie's Story

Imagine this. You are a truck driver. You don't just drive any truck. You drive a giant tractor trailer truck filled with pallets stacked with various goods. Every day you are on the road driving whatever goods happen to need to be transported. You load the goods on the truck. You drive often for days at a time to get to your destination. You and several workers with lots of noisy equipment unload the goods and then start all over again. Yours is one of many trucks that drive into a particular location to be unloaded. It's a very busy and noisy place. One day, you open the door to unload your truck and three cats come barreling out of your truck. You have inadvertently brought three cats into the unloading warehouse. What do you do? Thankfully the warehouse workers were good enough to call the Cat Rescue Team of Neponset Valley Humane Society. NVHS volunteers were able to capture the cats. They were of course all neutered right away since we cannot allow cats to reproduce since there are already so many homeless and unwanted cats. Then these three brothers went into a cat-expert foster home to be evaluated. Huey & Louie are frightened by being indoors in close proximity to people. (Funny enough, Dewey loves people and is looking for a home as a pet.) Huey & Louie would do an excellent job as barn cats. We estimate they are only about 5 months old. No one has any ideas where these cats came from and so there is no hope of getting them home. The best thing we can do for them now is to find them a barn where they can be relatively safe, yet free to be cats who just do not have the ability to be cuddly house pets. If you are in need of a barn cat or two, please call Neponset Valley Humane Society at 781 769 1990 or email us at nvhumanesociety@gmail.com. Huey and Louie would love to be meet you.
