**Howie's foster mom will not be finalizing adoptions until after the stay-at-home orders have been lifted**Howie is a very special kitty and we're looking to find him his purrrfect forever home! He's a very sweet boy, but he can get overstimulated and will gently nip if you don't stop petting him soon enough. He also had a really hard time being in a kennel at the shelter before foster care, so we want to avoid him ever going back to a shelter in his lifetime. He's looking for a cat savvy, experienced, and committed adopter. Howie would do best in a quiet home without young children. He's affectionate, super smart, loving, and calm, but he likely won't snuggle in your lap. If you're looking for an entertaining cat to be your companion, Howard is the guy for you. At just 4 years old, he still has the playfulness of a kitten but is very smart and loves to learn. He sits on command and gives high fives for treats (his favorite treat being tuna). He was surrendered to the shelter when his owner was moving and could not bring poor Howie with the family. Howie is sensitive to change and did not like the shelter environment at all. He has truly blossomed in foster care! He gets along with cats but can be a bit pushy so an easygoing cat friend would be best for him. He currently lives with two dogs and tends to just avoid them.
