Houdini Temple - in foster's Story
Meet Houdini, our big, lovable boy who may be a bit of a mystery at first, but once he gets to know you, you'll see just how special he is! Houdini is a 3-year-old male with a gentle nature, but he's a bit on the shy side, especially when it comes to other cats. While he may hiss when frightened, rest assured--he's never one to bite. He simply needs time to feel comfortable and show his true, affectionate side.

Houdini is a big guy with a heart to match, and once he settles in, he'll love to be pampered and spoiled by his favorite person. He thrives in a calm, quiet environment, and will be happiest as the only cat in your home. Houdini loves having all the attention to himself and will gladly curl up in your lap, soaking up the love and affection you offer.

Ideal Home:

Only cat: Houdini prefers to be the sole feline in the house. He's not a fan of sharing his space with other cats, so he'll do best in a home where he can be the center of attention.
Patient, understanding owner: Houdini needs someone who will allow him the time and space to adjust at his own pace. A calm, low-traffic home will help him feel safe and secure.
Loves to pamper: If you enjoy spending time with a sweet, loving cat who will appreciate your care and attention, Houdini is the one for you! This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home!

Email adoptions@ctcatconnection.org with a question or better yet, complete an application for quickest consideration. (Application: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-application/).

Select cats can be fostered instead! Apply on our website.

A cat's behavior in the shelter may not be what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat. Most often, in a home, they thrive!

Kitten Policy: Kittens must be able to socialize with other young cats or dogs as playmates, as it is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.

Due to demand, we do not place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet all cats or kittens available for adoption at the time of visit.

If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/
