Meet Horace

Horace is lonely! He is too nice a guy to live on the streets, which is where we found him, living rough with a colony of feral cats. He has been in a crate for a while now and he hasn’t complained once, but he has a ton of love to give and would be so, so happy to curl up on the couch with his own special person. Give him a snack and a head scratch and he is a contented man. Horace likes other cats, but he is looking for a one-cat family to call his own. While he was living outside, he contracted the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This virus cannot be passed on to humans and can only be transmitted to other cats through biting, and Horace is a very gentle cat.

With proper nutrition and care, cats with FIV can live into their teens. Horace is strong and symptom-free despite living out in the cold. We don’t know how many years he has left, but he may very well live a long, normal life. This gentle guy deserves the love of a human companion who will get him out of his cage and give him his very own home.

Horace is at least five years old. He is neutered and vaccinated against rabies. He is super affectionate, a little bit shy, and very ready to have his own family to love. He would be a great companion for children or a busy individual. All he wants is his pipe and his slippers and the love of someone special who is not afraid to give him the home he deserves.
