Hopper (brother to Skip)'s Story
Meet Hopper!

Hopper is an adorable and loving kitten with Radial Aplasia. This just means that he was born missing the radius in his front legs. Often, especially on social media, this type of disability is referred to as "kagaroo cat."

Hopper, and all cats with this condition can live perfectly normal lives. Some considerations just need to be taken as to his day to day accessibilities. For example, he can't jump or climb onto countertops or tables. He does better on soft surfaces like rugs. That being said, he really doesn't let his legs stop him. He climbs all over his 8 ft tall cat tree here. His litter box usage is completely normal.

Hopper also has a crooked tail, which is not a problem and he has a slightly "leaky" right eye. We took him to the ophthalmologist for it and it was discovered that he just doesn't have the tear duct on the right eye so his tears flow out of his eye rather than down the tear ducts. This is not a medical problem at all, it just should be wiped from time to time when you notice it being watery.

Hopper's best buddy is his brother Skip. Skip is a long haired black and white tuxedo kitten. He has no abnormalities. We will give precedence to potential adopters wanting to adopt both brothers together. Both kittens have done well with our adult cats and our small dog.

All our adoptable cats have:
Received 2 vaccinations
Been dewormed
Been flea treated and bathed
Been fecal tested for parasites
Been de-sexed
Been microchipped
Been Felv/Fiv tested
Been deeply loved

Hopper will have medical records, including X-rays, with our vet and Ophthalmology records.

Please email with any questions!
Mellamprey@gmail.com
