Hopi's Story

Hopi is a large medium hair coon mix and looks exactly like the Norwegian Forest cat.

He was hopping on three legs last winter outside with no home. He was so traumatized that when he only heard another cat meowing from his "safe intake room" he would bite his own tail. It took 3 months to heal his leg, his fur fell out and grew back beautifully and then began to trust and play and integrate into the shelter.

He needs a special diet and is very healthy but has had one surgery for scars on one eye and now needs further eye surgery that will correct inverted eyelashes which is probably due to continuous injuries. It is a cost that the shelter he is presently in cannot afford without knowwing whether or not unless the cat will be adopted. This su rgery is routine and he should recover very quickly.

He is always ready to play and very loving and an absolute treasure. You can make him your treasure!
