Over the past six weeks in foster care, Hope has made tremendous progress. When he first arrived, he was cautious and unsure. Now he plays. He eats well. He purrs. He shows affection. He's acting like a truly happy cat. Hope is fully litterbox trained and has excellent house manners. He does great with other cats and would likely enjoy a feline companion. He's also very food motivated, which makes building trust and continuing his progress that much easier. A few tasty treats go a long way with this smart boy. Hope has absolutely no interest in going outside; he is content and secure in his home environment and genuinely happy being an indoor kitty. He can still be a little sensitive - sometimes he may jump away unexpectedly - but he quickly calms himself. He's thoughtful, observant, and smart. Hope is a striking, solid boy, exuding strength and resilience. His ear is clipped and his tail was broken at some point in his past, but neither defines him. He is sturdy, healthy, and very much ready for the next chapter of his life. Hope is looking for a home that will see him for who he truly is: a gentle, affectionate, smart companion who just needs a bit of understanding to fully thrive.
