Hoot's Story
Hi, I'm Hoot. I've been through a lot in my few months of life. I was first brought to another shelter and placed as a barn cat because I was very spicy. I was later returned, and after that I ended up at Coconino Humane. All of those changes were a lot for such a young kitten.

I was very hissy at first (but nothing like my brother, Holler), but with time - and a lot of Churus - I quickly started to warm up. Now I love being pet, and I especially love chin scratches!

Because I was born feral and have been through so many transitions, I still need time to learn how to be a tame, confident house cat. I would do best starting out in a small room where I can't hide, like a bathroom, while I bond with my new family. I've never lived in a home before. I need to be an indoor-only cat.

I would likely do well with other cats, but I haven't met any dogs yet. I would most likely do best with older children who know how to go slow and respect my space.

I have so much love to give to the right family! All I need is a little patience and a lot of love.
