Honolulu & Hawaii's Story
Honolulu (tuxedo) was left on our doorstep in a cage with several babies. Only one baby survived, a little longhaired dilute calico we call Hawaii to stick with the theme. Honolulu is very scared of humans but is fine with other cats, especially her baby who she has formed a strong bond with. They play together and are always cuddling. When outside of her kennel, she likes to play with toys and explore her surroundings. She will most likely hide from newcomers but after a while she can tolerate you and will even let you pet her if given enough time. We think she and her daughter have potential to be great pets with lots of patience. Honolulu is roughly around 2 years old. And did come in feral but has come a long way since then. Because of this the two of them have reduced fees and are recommended to go to a home together.

Hawaii, conversely, is more outgoing than her mother. She is still shy and will run away from someone but she never hisses at you and is more willing to tolerate you. When she came in she had no fur. We thought that was just how she was. Lo and behold after months of healing, she turned out to be a long-haired kitty! Hawaii was likely born sometime around April/May 2025.
