Humane Society of Lackawanna County DBA Griffin Pond Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Visiting hours are noon to 3:00 pm, 6 days a week -- closed Tuesdays.
*Potential adopters are required to complete an application on our website at griffinpondanimalshelter.com prior to interacting with any animals. *
All adopted animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, distemper, bordetella (dogs), microchipped, have had one worming, one flea treatment, and are FeLV/FlV tested (cats). All adopted animals must be seen by a veterinarian annually for check up and vaccinations.
Griffin Pond Animal Shelter is located at exit 197 off Route 81. Turn off the exit ramp onto Rte. 632 West. Drive .4 mile on 632W and turn left into Ivy Industrial Park (Griffin Pond Rd). The shelter is located .4 miles in on the right side across from the PEXCO building.
