Honey (3-legged kitty) WATCH VIDEO!'s Story
386-214-9908 ADOPT HONEY, A tri-pod kitty who needs a fabulous new home! Loooking for a very stable and loving, INSIDE only home please.

This adoption is NOT through Furry Nation Salvation and is a Courtesy Post. Please call the individual listed below with any further questions or to set up a time to meet the pet. Thank you.

Please call/text this number if interested: 386-214-9908

Cat located in this city: South Daytona, FL
Cat’s Name: Honey

Cat’s Age & Sex: Approx 4 yr old female

Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped) and her STORY:
Honey was originally found outside (most likely abandoned) and was being taken care of by a very kind caregiver. Then she ended up with an injured front leg that required amputation (performed 2/4/26). She is spayed and now up to date on shots and is navigating life with 3 legs very well. Looking for a sticky INDOOR only home please where she can be taken care of and loved!

Although Honey is still purfecting how to get around as a “tripod,” and doing quite well, we expect her to make a full recovery and be able to get around without missing a beat. She’s already walking around the house and jumping up on the bed. This girl is a survivor!

Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Honey may be a little shy at first but within minutes, she’s nudging your hand for some pets and is completely loving and affectionate. She’s been around a gentle child as well as other cats and a small dog. We believe she would do well with calm children and other animals with a slow and proper introduction (see below). At this point in her life, she’s looking for a quiet place to call home, where she can choose to play and run around or just take some quiet naps in a sunny window.
Here is a video to YouTube of her:
https://youtube.com/shorts/lB8n-UClI_E?feature=shared

Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys):
Some food, favorite toys to help with the transition.

What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): Honey loves her wet food and has been eating mainly wet food since she’s been inside. Please learn why wet is so important below.always LIMIT the crappy dry food please

:::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we recommend double this).

:::::::::::: More info here: FurryNationSalvation.Org/wetfood
IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT:
1) Please show up with a cat carrier.
2) Small adoption fee of: $100
3) We will call/text one month from adoption day just to make sure everything is going well.
4) Please show up with your Driver's License.
5) Information sheet will be filled out (your information as well as mine).

*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.

Call/text me if interested in this kitty: 386-214-9908
