Homer's Story

Homer was found as a stray in Burke County in November 2024 when he appeared in someone's porch, thin and hungry, but unable to eat due to his teeth being in terrible condition.

From there, he ended up with a rescue based out of Lenoir, NC. The rescue's vet diagnosed him with stomatitis and all of his teeth were extracted, which made him much more comfortable and cured his condition. He was also found to have an abdominal hernia, which may have been caused by being injured while outside. The hernia was repaired and Homer was neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

At present, Homer is being fostered in a home with other cats, but he requires a separate room, as he does not like other cats. He is a friendly, silly, and affectionate cat who is looking for a furever home where he can be the star and live as an only cat. He loves to eat, play with toys, lounge in the sun, and watch the birds from his window perch. He has excellent litterbox habits.

Won't you please give Homer a retirement home so he can live out his life in peace and comfort?_ Veterinary reference(s) required and a home
check will be done to ensure he goes to the best adopter.
