Holly's Story
Hi, my name is Holly! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Active, Social, Playful, Rough Player, Lap Cat, Confident
-Can Live with Cats: Best as an only cat. Did not get along with resident cats in foster home
-Can Live with Dogs: Holly would do best in a home without dogs.
-Can Live with Kids: No thanks, Holly would prefer a home without kids.
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Yes she's been raised as indoor only.
-History of Litter Box Issues: Holly's previous home reported litterbox issues. This has been determined to be due to the stress she had in her old home, she has not had any accidents at all in her foster home. She also has had a urinalysis at whs and the results were normal.
-Energy Level: Moderate
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope!
Additional Information:

Holly is a beautiful, bright-eyed girl with a loving heart and a playful spirit. Don’t let her initial caution fool you — Holly also has a fun, active, and playful side! She enjoys chasing toys, exploring her environment, and showing off her curious nature once she’s at ease.

She’s looking for an adult-only home without other cats or dogs. Her foster mom says that she is sweet and talkative and is a certified lap-cat. Holly likes watching birds, chasing her toys (that you will throw for her), and will snuggle up close with you. Holly says she hopes you don't mind if she gets in your personal space bubble.

Holly was overweight when she came to WHS, and needs to go home with an adopter who can continue to help her be the healthiest girl she can be. Please keep Holly active and chasing toys, and do not free-feed her. Having a plan for her with your vet is essential so that you can have many years with Holly.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
