Hobbs's Story

Meet Hobbes

Hobbs is a handsome orange-and-white short-haired boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Born in April 2025, this playful young guy came to his foster home last September and has made incredible progress since then.

When Hobbs first arrived, he was a strong-willed, spicy little cat who wasn’t quite sure what he thought about indoor life. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, he has learned how to socialize and thrive — and now he’s ready for a forever home of his own.

Hobbes is very playful and loves toys of all kinds, especially yoyo toys, fishing pole toys, and catnip mice. He also enjoys Churu, Temptations treats, and quality companionship with his people. As long as he has a sturdy cat tree to climb and scratch, he’s respectful of furniture and keeps his claws where they belong.

This curious boy is quite the conversationalist — he purrs, talks, and loves interacting with his humans. Hobbes does best when allowed to set the pace for affection. He prefers not to be held upside down like a baby or have his tail grabbed, but when his boundaries are respected, he’s eager to please and bonds deeply. Once he trusts you, he’ll happily follow his person everywhere.

Hobbes would do best in a home with older children who understand how to be gentle and patient with cats. He is not a fan of other cats and would prefer to be your one-and-only. His experience with dogs is unknown.

If you’re looking for a playful, chatty, affectionate companion who will reward patience with loyalty and love, Hobbs might just be your perfect match.

Hobbes is healthy and has no medical issues. He is available for adoption. His adoption fee is $150. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you would like to set up an appointment to meet him please send an email to adoptions.spspca@gmail.com.
