Meet Hobbes. Unfortunately, Hobbes keeps getting returned for bad litter box habits. Hobbes does very well with his litter box habits when kept on his Prozac. When taken off the medication the behavior does return. All medical reasons have been ruled out, and the litter box issues are behavioral. Hobbes was 4 paw declawed as a kitten prior to us taking him as an adult. For this reason he is not suitable to be a barn cat. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, and has a negative fecal, and triple test for FIV/FELV/ and heartworms. He has had a Urinalysis, as well as bloodwork completed. We think the best home for him would be as an only cat, in a single person household. We cannot make guarantees on his litter box habits, but we know in the past medication has helped. We want to be completely honest, and we cannot guarantee the the problem will ever completely resolve. He has since been restarted on this medication, in hopes of one last shot. This medication runs about 15-20$ a month, and can be picked up at any pharmacy. We desperately would like to give him one last opportunity to find a forever home, before we have to consider an incredibly difficult alternative.
