Hissy's Story

Hello, my name is Hissy, yes Hissy, and here’s how my foster family gave me my name….

I currently live in Naches, Washington with a loving foster family who found me and my siblings outside in a wood pile when we were just a few weeks old. Sadly, something happened to my mom and she never returned to care for us, so this loving family took us in and are taking care of us until we can find our forever home. I was the one out of the liter that hissed out of fear, and though I don’t swat or strike people, I can be a little unsure of people initially, more so with men. I may hiss initially but after a little time I’ll warm up to a trusting person and give love, cuddles and purrs. My foster mom picks me up and pets me and I love it.

I like to play with toys and my siblings, but I prefer one-on-one attention without my siblings trying to hog all the petting. I’m healthy, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped (owner info can be transferred when adopted). I will give a meow here and there but am pretty quiet. I like to observe what goes on around me, I guess you might say I’m a deep thinker or an analyzer.

If you’re interested in meeting Hissy, please submit an inquiry through PetFinder with questions or to schedule a time to meet, or, visit our website at uccryakima.org (http://uccryakima.org/) and click on "adoption application”,

Please remember that any pet will need patience and nurturing when moving into a new home. Just like humans, trust can come with time. We also ask that you keep your furry family member indoors. We would be more than happy to help educate and provide advice through the rehoming process.
