Hillary's Story
Hillary’s story started with an animal lover who approached us regarding this stray cat that was once again pregnant. She was very leery of people and always kept her distance. She gave birth to three kittens outside. Sadly, one kitten did not make it. We just couldn’t leave her outside in the cold with her kittens as they would surely not survive. The plan was to trap her and bring her kittens indoors and give her to time to adjust to see if she could be socialized.

Hillary of course hissed and growled, but after a period of time, we were able to pet her and she was instantly your best friend. All she needed was time to adjust and realize that she could once again trust humans. Her kittens were adopted together and Hillary was moved to another foster home. We had to start the process all over again with her, but it was worth it. This is what the foster dad has to say about Hillary:

Hillary is a very affectionate girl! Slow to warm up but once she opens up, she loves nothing more than cuddling up on the couch and being pet for hours! She loves chasing toys (rolling balls and small stuffed mice) and her favorite scratch post. She is still easily spooked by any loud noise. A cough, a sneeze, a car honking outside she will retreat to a safe space and then immediately come back out for cuddles, pets, and reassurance.

Hillary will need someone who will give her time to adjust and then be rewarded with her constant companionship.

Contact us info@werescuecats.ca
